The Hungry
In the beginning, there was dust dust dust
But we will eat the yellow as we must must must
When we eat the sun will it taste like mouse?

Description:
Ages 17-70
These.. Abominations grow to irregular sizes, towering at seven to eight feet tall. They seem to look something like a deer-creature. They have clawed hands and feet, appearing as though they are a skeletal creature. They have patches of mangled fur across their bodies, always being the color of dried mud. Their bones are an off-ivory color, and they reek of dried blood. They always have two proud horns or antlers on their skeletal heads. Depending on their state of decay, they sometimes have tails. Although it is difficult to get close to one without perishing, the females are slightly smaller, with smaller horns. The males are large, with large antlers. The females seem to be slightly less aggressive. It is rumored that these horrific creatures have a sense of intelligence, although not proven as none have gotten close.
Ages 1-16
The young of these creatures appear strangely.. It is impossible to tell their gender at this age, as they all look the same. They much smaller at this age, only standing to 5’11-6’9, depending how old they are. These creatures appear much more deerlike at this age, slowly decaying over time. They have two slitted eyes, always yellow. Their fur at this age is much healthier looking. They all have simple horns at this age, seemingly just small horns. When they are this age, they aren’t as aggressive as they will be when they mature.
Ages 70-90
At this age, the creatures have become more and more aggressive. At this age, they can be found attacking and eating their own kind. They are fully decayed.. Although they may keep their fur at their necks.. At this age, Many of the other wendigo kill them before they kill their own kind. Wendigo at this age are rare, and much more dangerous.
Average weight comes to about 164-370 pounds, depending on age and gender.
Their claws and teeth are especially dangerous, as they have bacteria from dead things. A slash or bite from one of these, depending on the severity, can get infected, and become fatal.
Location
Deep in the woods
Wendigo are found in the wild wood, especially around Dryads and Lallirns, and are generally benevolent to these races. They usually live in burrows made into hills, or in caves.

Can it be tamed?
No, but perhaps befriended. Only by races akin to the nature they fight so harshly to protect.
Is it hostile? How does it act towards other animals? Towards people?
Hostile
To people, except Lallirns and Dryads or people will good intention.
They keep themselves hidden with strange magic of the wild.
They can be seen rarely by non-Lallirns and Dryads, but only if they think you’re worthy.
Reproduction:
These beasts have a mating season, although it is a strange season. They mate in Winter, when the world is seemingly bland, without need for protection. A wendigo female carries her baby for the usual 9 months. It is very difficult to tell the impregnated females from the regular females, although when pregnant, a female wendigo’s behavior seems more docile, although they are still dangerous.
Lifespan:
Wendigo do not die as regular creatures do. They simply decay. This is process that takes 90-100 years. In the beginning of a Wendigo’s life, They are completely put together, appearing as a large humanoid deer. As they grow older they begin to decay, this changes their behavior, levels of aggression and where they make home.
Mechanics:
Wendigo seem to assume those who enter the forest have bad intentions, although after observing those who enter the woods, they judge them accordingly.
They sense intention.
They attack by ripping and tearing with teeth and claws.
They seem to have an aura of magic around them, though not confirmed.
They are violent creatures, although they have cognitive thought.
They live estranged from their kind.
Mothers aren’t exactly protective of their children, although they defend them to an extent until they’re of age.
Wendigo’s claws are infested with bacteria from things they’ve killed.
They do not speak often.. They communicate with one each other in a series of animalistic noises. Clicking, Birdsong, Depends on their mood.
They speak at times to those who trespass into their wood.
Benefits + Effects
Horns and Hooves are good for Alchemical Purposes. Especially in offensive potions, along the lines of making a potent poison. Claws make quite a nice dagger, as they're covered in bacteria, and wickedly sharp.
