It is often stated that beyond Mirrasil, there is a realm unlike our own. A realm often where some souls are sent to survive within this horrid of a realm, until death. A realm where monsters and strange creatures alike are hostile towards anyone that enters. A realm where time stops, where one does not age. A realm where there are only darkest nights. A realm. . .where it is often known as an eternal prison.
Almost no one knows about the Abyss, and those who do know, never live to tell the tale, or are trapped within this prison for an eternity. The Abyss is just one of many names to describe this realm. Other names include Limbo, and the Dark Realm, however the Abyss is the more common name to refer to this realm as.
The Aysirrin is another realm, but far more worse and far more dark than Mirrasil. When contrasting these two realms on how much darkness and evil were in the realms, Mirrasil is just a small fraction compared to how much the Abyss contained. The Abyss is a realm of endless night, a place where time is forever frozen and no one ages.
This realm contains many monstrous, dark creatures which will act hostile towards anyone they see enter the Abyss. These beasts can come in nearly all sizes, big and small. These creatures also bear monstrous appearances which only puts fear and horror into the hearts of their victims. The creatures of this realm were given the name Nightwalkers.

There was one Primal who ruled the Abyss, always wearing a mask as he waits for those who enter the abyss.
