She has black hair, that when dry reaches her mid back and is quite wavy. When it's wet it is longer, going just past her back, it's always shinny and smooth, almost like silk.

Her eyes are brown, almost black, filled with excitement and wonder.

Tail:
Her tail is that of a koi's, mostly white with bits of red, black, and orange within it. It's end is long, and flows in the water.

Personality:
Kai is filled with questions, always wanting to explore and meet other people. She spends quite a bit of time in her human form, attempting to learn all about it. She is a hopeless romantic, always dreaming of finding her one true love. She falls quickly and falls hard, though when her heart is broken it doesn't take long for her to find another to obsess over.

Backstory:
Kai lived within a family of three, her and her mother and father. She'd been told from a young age to keep away from the landwalkers, for reasons she didn't know. This only peeked her interest, taking any chance she had to go onto shore and walk around using her 'legs' and testing how long she could last up there. Her parents would always be mad at her, telling her to stay in the water. She always tried to explain to them there must be more out there, that she wanted to explore.

They never understood, telling her to stay away from the landwalkers. She soon befriended an older mermaid, who told her stories of the landwalkers, and taught her basic common speech she said she had learned from a lover who had legs. Kai wanted to know more, and every chance she got she would explore, finding odd bits of the humans things. She used an old bit of white fabric for a top and the rest for a skirt, that she wore in human form.

Though, when she was allowed to go out on her own, she chose to stay close with her family, though she still thinks of what could have been, what has happened above the sea. If the landwalkers are truly evil, or it was just meant to scare her. Atlas, she might never know, as she gave up on it. Though her amazement still lingers, waiting for the right time to explore.
