Do you have any role-playing experience? If so can you tell us examples?
I roleplayed on a now-dead forum RPG called ArgetlamRPG for a year or so, before switching to Minecraft-based roleplay for about a year. The roleplay servers I played on were Massivecraft and Lord of the Craft. I quit the roleplay servers I was on due to toxicity and went on to become a member of a few forum roleplays, but I've still been searching for a good Minecraft roleplay, as I've lost interest in a good amount of the forum roleplays I was involved in. There’s also some casual D&D experience in there.
In your own words, define Powergaming.
Powergaming involves controlling another character's actions via emoting things such as, “stabs and kills Bob”, or emoting something wildly unrealistic in order to dodge everything.
In your own words, define Metagaming.
Metagame is the act of using knowledge gained OOC to benefit your characters, or your friends' characters.
In your own words, what is Roleplaying to you?
Roleplaying is the act of portraying a character other than yourself.
How old are you? (Note, this is a PG13+ Server, there will be stuff like death, gore, and other graphic things that will happen within the server.)
I am thirteen.
Have you read the rules and agree to follow them? (Y/N)
Yes, very much so.
State a rule in which you think is most effective, and how it impacts roleplay.
The consent rule is my absolute favourite. I cannot begin to explain how many clingy creeps have forced my characters into relationships with theirs and insisted upon roleplaying with me constantly, or how many times my roleplay has been ruined by someone forcing me into torture rp or kidnapping my characters. When people can actually walk around without worry of their characters being kidnapped, tortured, abused, or killed, I find that roleplay is much more enjoyable.
How did you find out about Mirrasil? If a player who was it?
Sea introduced me to this server when I was whining about a lack of good minecraft-based roleplay servers.
Why do you wish to join Mirrasil?
I want a good minecraft roleplay environment without worry of being cyber bullied or forced into uncomfortable situations. This seems to be ideal.
Anything else you wish to add or tell us about yourself? (This does not affect your whitelist)
In terms of introduction? I’m female, I love anime and video games, I'm from America (EST) and I'm generally a loser.
What is your favorite pie?
Blueberry.
What is your least liked color?
I'd have to say yellow. Or brown.
CHARACTER SECTION
Character name: Nelreath Selyssia Thilvedriel (Pronunciation: Nehl-ree-ahth Sehl-ih-ee-ah Thihl-veh-dree-ehl)
Character race: High Elf
Character age and gender: Female, thirty.
Character Personality: Though Nelreath isn’t quite evil, she doesn’t really have any morals. She does what it takes to remain on top and survive, which may cause her to act ruthlessly, but she also rarely hurts others intentionally unless they get in the way of her survival. Despite this, Nelreath is often quite friendly until one crosses her- that is, if they can get past her blatant selfishness. She’s rather intelligent and clever, if not a bit withdrawn, and she doesn’t like to divulge information about her personal life. In essence, Nelreath is selfish and private, but also openly seeks allies and friends, even if this is often for personal gain or protection. She’s also rather vengeance-obsessed, and tends to try hurting those whom have crossed her by any means necessary.
Character Description: Nelreath has a heart-shaped face, with thick eyebrows and bright orange eyes. Her hair is dark scarlet red, wavy, and falls down to her lower back. She stands at 5’10”, with a lithe, willowy build, and her skin is pale white. Often, Nelreath wears warm, modest clothing, favouring the colors black, purple, and orange.
Character Backstory: Nelreath was born in the southeast into a High Elven village. She had no siblings, surprisingly, as her family was too poor to afford caring for a second child. Nelreath grew up spending the majority of her time in the village library; her nose was always in a book. She also helped out her parents on their farm. At the age of twenty, she got into the position of the book-keeper at the library. However, she was hired by a local crime group whose motives were unknown, but they payed well, and her only job was to put secret information into certain books under her desk to hand to whomever knew the crime group’s secret code. She didn’t question what the secret information was being used for, and didn’t care about being used as an in-between for illegal information. All she cared was that it payed well, and it did. Using her newfound wealth, Nelraeth purchased tomes on magic, beginning to learn it.
Character’s Skills: Nelreath is experienced scholar and farmer, and a decent cook. She can also wield daggers with some decency, though she has hardly any formal training. [Nel is an intermediate practitioner of magic, though she is currently incapable of using it.]
SCENARIO SECTION
Clouds of monotonous grey blur the once blue skies, rain heavily crashing down. You keep walking through the rain.. An endless journey, until you happen to stumble upon a tavern, which seems to be open. You enter it with hope, before a sense of warmth and security filling you in the filled tavern. You manage to find an empty table by a window, so you decide to sit there. You seem to daydream.. Up until the point a woman with kind hazel eyes sits in front of you with a soft smile.
You are sitting inside a tavern, a woman with a kind smile and soothing voice sits in front of you.. Something about her seems rather open and freeing. She proceeds to ask you something.
“What is your name, unfamiliar one?”
Your Answer: The young elf raised a brow at the newcomer, shrugging. “The name’s Nelreath. You are…?” she replied.
The woman nods in acknowledgment to your answer, a flicker of curiosity sparking in her eyes.
“Ah, well met. My name is Myra. So, where do you come from? You seem to be travelling alone..”
As you spoke, a warmth filled Myra’s eyes, almost a feeling of nostalgia. She would nod and make an ‘Mhm’ noise to show she was listening, retaining eye contact with you.
Your Answer: Nel didn’t quite like divulging personal information, so she kept what she said to basics. “Oh- well, I’m from the Southeast. Small village.”
“Interesting. . What do you do for a living, to make money-? Or rather, what skills do you find yourself somewhat knowing?”
Your Answer: “I’m a farmer and a librarian.”
As you told her of your skills, Myra would briefly tilt her head in thought, as she spoke, her tone laced with interest.
“Are you a wielder of magic?”
Your Answer: Frowning slightly, Nelreath shook her head. “Unfortunately, no- though, I’d like to learn a bit of it some day.” This was a blatant lie, however. Nel liked this woman, but she preferred not to give away her tricks.
The rain had eventually been dominated by silence, the sun once again pouring down it's golden rays to warm the earth, a single sun ray beaming through the window. Myra would tilt her head towards the window, before sighing softly.* "It has been nice speaking to you, though I'm afraid I must take my leave now. May fate allow our paths to cross once more."
