Saying that however, I believe that a few people have been getting rather bored with the whole survival aspect of RP. (Recent events non-withstanding in this argument). I honestly believe that the question should be raised. What do we want out of RP when we move to the next island? Would you prefer to have faster building so you could get to more "Tavern" RP quicker, or would you prefer the way things are going right now? (Survival, Build RP, ETC) I've created a strawpoll that I hope you all check out. I personally believe that this ground up rp makes development more valued and has more worth to one person or a whole group. STOP trying to take shit out the easy way. I wish for things to speed up and for the requirements for building and manufacturing things is lessened. Less time doing the boring stuff, more time having fun. Currently the chore roleplay outweighs the fun roleplay by a lot.

Previous servers I've been on had different settings and ways of operating. I like the whole background of being driven enough to work towards a set of goals, everything has to be done properly. On my last few servers everything tended to be given to me on a silver platter. You had a home instantly, towns and kingdoms to protect you etc. That was all fun and don't get me wrong. But I personally don't just want a continuation of those servers. Mirrasil shouldn't just be the status quo of everything we've done before repeated in an endless loop. I can see my characters longevity and development surviving if we introduce these new "back to basic" style of survival RP. If we just had towns popping up everywhere, I don't think it'd be as enjoyable in these first few weeks. The narrative demands vulnerability on our part, I suppose I've been more focussed on seeking out the story rather than hunkering down in my 'cool' new town, if it were to exist. Now eventually we will have the situation where we become more advanced and build towns and cities easier with access to resources, but I want to work towards it and earn that right and not have to compete with people who take the fast track easy route and try to make amazing towns in a day. Mirrasil is trying to tell a story where the people in it aren't able to hide behind giant walls of stone or moats of water for protection. I can see how peoples enjoyment might demand some sort of communal town area for everyone to meet up in, but I honestly don't see why it demands personal towns popping up immediately just because people want their cool house. I myself have cool house designs I'm working towards, but at a gentle pace. Anyway, just my thoughts and opinions.

So stands to reason that people who want to build up over time and slowly can get that on the current island, however the next island could (maybe) be more fast paced, after the first few IC weeks w/e of building up slowly on the new island; people might get a little tired of grinding through the same process. A faster pace could fix that least on the next island. I'm personally having fun with the slower survival aspect, but I also don't mind picking up the pace if its dragging on for some people. I'm good either way.

However, I would enjoy a lift on the survival and rp building aspect further down the line when supplies are easily provided. I understand things are slow but it's slow for a reason. Builders are working their butts off to get the islands done and get new builds done for our enjoyment, so please keep in mind we can't just magically become civilized in terms of rp timelines. Blah blah blah- those are my thoughts.

As someone who is a part of the build team, I can actually tell you with full certainty, that absolutely nothing has been done on the other islands due to the fact that we just got ourselves a build team leader and it is only NOW that we are actually beginning construction on the new island environments.

The servers narrative, while well-written in some ways and shapes, is honestly to the point where it feels forced and is just overall annoying to get through. It's beyond boring and the only thing I hear is- "bad weather" and "primals are shitlords" please fix

Just- just get rid of the primals, or at least tone down their power so that people can actually shape this the way they want to, instead of following a rigid path designed by a small team of people.
