Raphael Payne’s ‘’Community Manager’’  Application.

 

“Appointed by Few, Misunderstood by Many, Memed by Man.”

 

Held upon a shield did I decide to make this, mostly not truly of my own avail.

 

A couple things regarding who I am; I’m in the server’s build team, currently at the age of seventeen. Soon to receive a drivers license, I’m commended in most if not all school activities in this current moment, I’m an empathetic being and pride myself on my ability to read and write well and being able to make compromises where necessary. I am Raphael Payne and this just so happens to be an application.

 

Through rigorous talks and overall quite blunt conversations with others regarding the severity at which I draw forth this application; I open up with what exactly a vision in my own eyes is as myself being a ‘player relations guy’ or a ‘Community Manager’ for whatever reason. In the simplest of terms, I’d like to see the place prosper in a way that is conducive towards many in the server without a falsehood to be made; a good community and a good server to back.

 

Cons, Neutrals, and Pros.

 

Cons:

 

The Past-

I am fully aware of the past I’ve had with servers, ranging from roleplay, to factions or pvp servers, wasn’t always the ‘greatest guy’ or the memorable staff member or that guy you could always come to because I just wasn’t always around or in the greatest place. With time have I grown past that point and being pointed in a different direction, therefore leading us to a fairly well shaped human being- although, like most of my populace, broken in a way.

 

Overuse of Self-

Like many, I roll with my heart on my sleeve this is known to many and they likely know me for an extensive amount of time. I will attempt to do whatever I can to aid the person in their endeavors and once they are nurtured- they are to be let go. And while this may seem like a good thing, I am beginning to learn this must be done in moderation, hence why I once and still do, see it as slightly bad.

 

Neutral:

 

Zealot-

Not like how you typically think of a zealot, but I do have many motives in mind and it’s stated quite blatantly in ‘The Past’ and what my vision is as a player relations gent. I’m passionate about my ideals and I especially appreciate hearing both sides of the argument, and will typically come up with a happy medium for both sides which is normally, if not all the time, in the best interest of the server as a whole.

 

Stern and Discipline-

When the time calls for it, myself as a person is definitely stern in motion so that people understand a situation better from an ‘eagles eye’ point of view so they see a bigger picture, and therefore allow themselves to better understand the servers future and so that we may get on with the day and RP another time with renewed hearts and minds. For example, I suppose, two groups bicker, I would intervene, understand both sides, and come up with a conclusion, typically based upon the hearts and minds of both sides and have the two realize both are not so far gone and they can both get on with their days with good in heart.

 

Pros:

 

Empathy-

Based upon myself in many situations, those whom I consider friends, and people in the community who I’ve just met, I find myself able to assist them in anything they need either by speaking reason or simply speaking to them for hours on end until they’re sated and ready to go for the next day, and if I can’t, I can direct them to someone with more information, and or get said information for them.

 

Clairvoyant Motives-

I hold no other motives for this server than just my Vision which was very apparent at the beginning of this post, very simply said; I want this server to thrive and I want it’s community to understand one another, and thrive with one another, as a real community does. I’d be damned to see this much work go to waste without giving it a try here. There is no question you can’t ask me and I won’t give you my honest answer. It simply would not happen, I’ll tell you whats on my mind, and if needed, it’ll be soft. But I won’t sugar coat it at the end. C:

 

Experience-

I’ve been in the roleplaying spotlight for the better part of seven years, ranging from Roblox, to Halo roleplay settings. Never once have I felt I needed to leave the community because I always knew somewhere deep down that I’d be able to make a mark in it, albeit I’m unaware how I would do it. I’ve been a staff member for close to three or four remarkeably known places, and a builder on more. On Alaurin I did commission as a builder, this is known. Remanor (First gen and semi second since it didn’t launch the second time) I helped as a moderator. In many other servers I was player relations for many houses for medieval roleplay typically, including Hollowworld where I served as a guy who helps get newbies to places they wanna go and RP in at harmony. Throughout these seven years I’ve learned more than enough skills that have honestly benefitted myself and others positively.

 

 

Epilogue.


Simply said, my job would be simple, help the players in the community, assure people are getting a fair shake, and end their day well on the server, and see to it this server gets the timeline it deserves. All community opinions would be logical to send to myself so that I may put a cute little ribbon on them, fix ‘em up and put them to staff. Tis the vision. Ad Astra.
