Runic Prison, The Chain Warden
Description
Runic Prison, a unique and versatile magic in which the caster dedicates themselves to becoming a Warden. The origin of such magic comes from the speculated existence of the Gatekeeper himself, Cyrol. Runic prison comes in many forms, depending simply on the casters imagination. Some may wish to become the Warden of Flames, others reaching as far as Blood Magic to encapsulate their targets.
Despite it’s name, capturing an entity is not the only use of such a magic. The varying wardens across the realm may all have similar intent though no two mage’s arsenal are the same. This is the nature of a Warden, unpredictability and the intent to guard.
The Chain Warden
Nature of the Chains
Conjured from the very will of the caster, these ethereal chains are constructed from Mana in it’s most controlled form. Weaving together the thin threads of the unseen force to produce such a construct. As a result, the casters mana takes a physical form in which they can manipulate and change to aid in their endeavors.
These chains are constructed from Mana in physical form, and thus cannot be broken through physical means. There are many ways a magi could render the chains useless through mana manipulation should they figure out how to do so.
The strength of the chains grasp is entirely dependant on the caster’s mental strength and condition. Should the mage be freshly recovered and their will untampered, the chains will be near impossible to escape through physical means alone. However if the caster has been exhausted, and their concentration lacks strength the chains will become much easier to break free from.
