Some Alloys need proper IC knowledge in order to be produced. All Ores can be found in mines across the world unless it specifically says otherwise.
Rating: The Lower the rating the weaker the material is. The Higher the Rating the Stronger the material. This does not include the effects of said material. A Material is judged for it's rating on it's general strength. (1-10)
((If You have any ideas for Ores or things to add to them. Please Let me know.))
Natural Ores:
Iron: (Common)
Color: Dark Grey while unprocessed. Black-Light Grey while processed.
Function: Iron based products are strong enough to resist being torn apart or destroyed by weaker materials. Iron in itself is a versatile material that can be used for almost anything. As a Armor Iron is resistant against slashes and stabs and only in the gaps of a armor would it normally get broken in by a weapon of the same type. As a Weapon Iron is a strong and easy to get material able to supply a whole armor for it's own use. Iron is average in it's strength, density and flexibility and as such can be versatile. Iron can be broken by stronger materials. And is such is Ranked a 5/10. This Ranking will help people identify stronger and weaker materials. Iron itself is not resistant to magic and can easily be hit with magic or manipulated by magic.
Size: Iron can come in chunks of various sizes and as such is very easy to smelt and hammer into larger ingots and other types of material.
Types: Iron that is found on the earth is rated at a 5. While Meteoric Iron is much denser then other types of iron and is rated at a 8 for it's strength. Meteoric Iron also is pitch black in appearance.
Location: Iron can be found in any type of mine around the world while Meteoric Iron can only be found from Meteors that his the ground and survive in decent chunks.
Rating: 5
Unionite (Common)
Color: Iridescent Shimmer
Function: Unionite is rather useless but has been used to help teach smiths starting out to make alloys with. Unionite is used to strengthen a Alloy making it harder and more durable overall. The Best Ratio to be put in a alloy is that the Unionite should be about 10% of the Alloy itself.
Size: It comes in hand size rocks.
Types: Unionite only comes in it's standard type.
Location: Can be found on beaches after being washed up upon it.
Rating: 1
Zinc (Common)
Color: Metallic grey
Function: Zinc is rather useless as a metal on it's own but can be found in various medicines for various reasons. Zinc itself when alloyed with another metal can make the metals more corrosive resistant then they naturally would be. Zinc is also a needed component for making brass. This Material has a low electrical conductivity.
Size: Zinc is found blended in rocks of a certain type.
Types: None that are needed info about.
Location: Found in mines mixed in certain types of rocks.
Rating: 2
Copper (Common)
Color: A Reddish Brown.
Function: Copper is useless as a weapon but can be very sharp. Copper is a abundant material that is very conductive only to be beaten by Silver in that regard. Copper is best used for Alloying into Brass which is a better material to use. Copper is easy to make into hard shapes due to it being very flexible.
Size: Comes in various size of chunks.
Types: Copper can come in various types. Most notable is Malachite for it's green hues. Copper has various types depending on what other materials that surround it.
Location: In Mines and mountains.
Rating: 3
Tin (Common)
Color: Silver Grey.
Function: Tin has many uses one of which is to prevent Corrosion. Tin is very useful as you make it into a alloy. Tin can be used to make tin cans in order to preserve food. This Material has a low electrical conductivity.
Size: Tin can come in various shapes and sizes.
Types: Tin only comes in one type.
Location: Found in mines and mountains.
Rating: 1
Gold: (Uncommon)
Color: Shiny Yellowish in nature. Can have a Orangish tinge to it or a reddish tinge.
Function: Gold is a very decorative metal that is very malleable. Gold isn't that hard and as such it is horrible to use for anything but decorations and jewelry. Gold is a very conductive material of Electricity and Heat. Gold doesn't tarnish unlike Copper and Silver.
Size: Gold is found in little chunk like veins that run throughout the rock it is in.
Types: Rose Gold is Similar to gold but is different in Color. Regular Gold is a rather shiny material.
Location: Gold can be found in mountains or deep underground. The Other types of Gold need to be mixed with another material to be made.
Rating: 2
Silver (Uncommon)
Color: A Shiny Light Grey.
Function: Silver is a precious metal like gold but a bit stronger. Silver is still best used for a alloy for metals but at the same time alone it is rather weak and can break easily. Silver boasts the highest Electric conductivity. Silver Tarnishes but at the same time takes longer to do. Silver can help increase the flexibility of metals.
Size: Silver comes in chunks together in the ground and is very easy to be made into ingots.
Types: Silver can differ in color depending on what materials are still inside of the silver.
Location: Silver can be found mixed with other types of materials in caves and mines.
Rating: 3
Alloys:
Bronze (Uncommon)
Color: Brownish Orange.
Function: This material is very useful to be made into weapons and trinkets. As a Weapon it can hold a very sharp edge. This material is not useful to be made into armor and is better to be made into weapons and tools. For my higher classed civilizations have used it for trinkets. It also can be made into water containers and other types of items. This Material has a low electrical conductivity.
Size: As a Alloy it can come into various types of forms and shapes.
Types: Alloy can be made different strengths depending on the Ratio of Material inside. The Best Ratio is 3 parts Copper, 1 Part Tin.
Location: It is created.
Rating: 4
Brass (Uncommon)
Color: Yellowish Gold.
Function: Brass is a useful Material that is low friction compared to most other materials. Brass like Bronze can hold a sharp edge. Brass is better used for trinkets and delicate items compared to weapons and armor. This Material has a low electrical conductivity. Brass can be used to cast items relatively easy if it's hot enough.
Size: As a Alloy it can come into various types of forms and shapes.
Types: Alloy can be made different strengths depending on the Ratio of Material inside. The Best Ratio is 4 parts Copper, 1 Part Zinc.
Location: It is created.
Rating: 4
Steel (Uncommon)
Color: Grey to Light Grey.
Function: Steel is a highly versatile material. It can be used to create just about anything. The only thing that is hard to make with steel is jewelry due to how strong steel is, but also how brittle it becomes at such thin size. Steel is best used for Armors of various types and weapons around. Steel has a average electrical conductivity. Steel is very strong and can be strengthened by the use of various different materials.
Size: As a Alloy it can come into various types of forms and shapes.
Types: There are multiple types of steel.
Location: It is created.
Rating: 6
Damascus Steel (Rare)
Color: Dark Grey swirled with Light Grey.
Function: Damascus steel has almost all the same properties of Steel but is a bit increase in weight. Damascus steel also can be a lot sharper then Steel due to how strong it is from being 300+ layers. It has almost all the same uses as steel but isn't as useful for armor due to the layers.
Size: As a Alloy it can come into various types of forms and shapes.
Types: It's strength increases a bit for every extra 100 layers made in it.
Location: Unknown.
Rating: 7
