▸Botanist - Solely for the purpose of creating a rather colourful garden one day. He intends to collect the most beautiful flower from each Isle the expedition finds no matter how big or how small.
▸The Blind Fighter - Sandro has the mystical ability to be able to fight with his eyes closed. Part of his education as a young boy placed a large emphasis on greater perception of mind over body. A learned and magically adept mentor taught him the importance of seeing the world as one large grouping of smaller, similar patterns. One day such teachings enabled him to access his mind's eye and view the world in a distorted way if he truly focussed and closed his eyes.
▸Meditator - Meditation is a key skill in his life. It helps him focus, suppress his darkest emotions and also allows him to enjoy the beauty in life. After long periods without this he is seldom happy or calm, having been taught this skill from a young age being of utmost importance.

Backstory: Sandro’s childhood consisted of being brought up majoritively by house staff rather than his only living parent which was his father. He was kept privately tutored by men brought in from distant lands though only ever grew a real aptitude for a handful of subjects such as a proficiency for halberds and botany. His friends up until he was at the end of his teenage years were regrettable scoundrels yet he ended up taking most of his life’s insight from his father and his siblings and managed to avoid the pitfalls of his compatriots.
Sandro’s father was a visibly odd man with many injuries to his name. Most noticeably he was missing an eye and an arm whilst also possessing harsh third degree burns on the left side of his chest. He was the sort of man who should have died of infection the likes of which had claimed the lives of so many others in his circumstances. He was on all accounts the unluckiest lucky man his son had ever known. The man would always recount how he had spent his early years travelling with a roaming expedition, the years of which were the happiest of his life. He had a great fondness for riches and exploration, travelling as a wealthy merchant seeking to find natives in order to set up a grand trading post, the goal of which he actually ended up accomplishing, setting the groundwork for being able to give his children such a high class of upbringing.
Unfortunately the expedition always dealt with many dangers and he ended up losing a great deal of his physical body in the process as pre-mentioned, though Sandro only ever learnt how his father lost his right eye, an honest dart accident reportedly. Nevertheless his father was no man to roll over and accept fate so visited a carpenter and had a wonderfully crafted wooden arm made to replace his missing limb and a quarter mask for his face, with an eye covering to hide his lack of one. Both creations were dressed in the finest colours and emboldened with jewels and gold. As time went on his father's mercantile businesses only flourished but took up more and more of his time. He grew even more distant from Sandro despite already having started out quite aloof. In the end his work consumed him, or at least that’s what Sandro believes, as he was found dead at his desk one quiet morning, gold still clenched in his wooden fist. Sandro and his siblings were left everything in their father's will but such wealth only turned to bitter ash in Sandro’s mouth. He’d been brought up on the principles of hard work and earning your own way, to accept such a substantial amount of freely given riches was not in line with the values he believed in. Taking his father's quarter mask as a memento and a few other nicks and bobs, he set out to find his own adventure and his own wealth. One that he could claim forever was his and his alone.
His experiences throughout his young years had taught him a great many things. He learnt from his father that appearance meant a great deal and that you should always find ways to overcome what may be taken from you however unfairly. His most valuable lesson however was not to be too focused on one goal, such as wealth, lest the rest of life pass you by whilst you only sit and wish you could return to the past. Forever on Sandro wished to be a rich merchant someday like his father but he would be different, vowing to never let the pursuit of riches envelop him and prevent his total happiness or the happiness of those he cares for.
From then until he was 23 he lived a semi-successful and independent lifestyle. He never was quite able to make it to an upper class standard but lived his life peacefully and how he wished. Still, it was inevitably boring for him as he believed deeply there should be more to life than just staying in one place and gathering wealth. One day a pamphlet made its way to him about an expedition to new lands by boat, he couldn’t help but jump at the opportunity and so inevitably set off in the same footsteps his father had walked before him.
