The Sight
Spell: ‘The Sight’
Sandro has an odd gift that he deems as a very situational component in his life. During his education on the mind's perception a mage his father had brought to him to learn from taught him the importance of seeing the true patterns that surround us in the world. Initially the mage had him sit in silence, learning the art of meditation and serenity yet was unable to see the patterns which his teacher only spoke of as ‘the sight’. On his thirteenth birthday after a three day fast mixed with meditation as his final attempt to learn ‘the sight’, the mage brought to him an illusionary drug, enabling him to tap into his mind's core and unlock the ability he had been seeking.
The ability allows Sandro to tap into his very mind and free himself from the shackles of both darkness and light. In this state his perception becomes unrivalled and his focus heightens. His eyes will change from their usual dark green to a sharp amber and the world in his sight will turn to an amber colour gradient between amber and black. Shutting his eyes usually comes as a reaction to no longer needing to keep his eyelids open as his eyes are able to look through solid objects with enough focus. His initial casting of the ability will always focus on seeing through his eyelids to prevent him from having to focus twice.
Oddly enough lighting is no longer applicable to the man as using this ability in utter darkness or in blinding rays of sunshine would regardless show him a sight viewed as if in 'normal' lighting. No longer is he anchored to the necessity of light to see but is still limited to one colour gradient. As his perception is boosted to a great state almost all the other four senses become numbed; he can barely smell, hear, feel or taste. Any creature with a beating heart will stand out superbly to Sandro as their heart itself creates a flare of amber lighting around them, meaning he can differentiate live objects from dead ones.
When activating this magic Sandro channels everything he is feeling, all his emotions and uses them as fuel to burn in his mind; his love, his fears, his happiness and his joy are warped from his mind and into his very core along with a substantial amount of mana after a moment of motionless meditation. When he finally comes out of this state he will have an almost alternate persona, one that is completely neutral in tone, though his actions may speak otherwise. For half a day after this power he will speak and process thoughts far differently to how he had done so previously acting as his most true self with all the layers peeled away, though after the specified time erodes his normal self will resume functionality.

'The Sight' Abilities:
▸His eyes take on an amber hue allowing him to see in one colour gradient (amber to black) and he can see through his own eyelids.

▸Light does not become applicable to him as he is no longer using it to view things.
▸All senses other than perception are numbed harshly during this abilities usage. This does not generally prevent him from functioning normally, for instance he could still fight in this state but his words would be slurred due to him only hearing himself muffled.
▸Still feels pain normally even though his sense of touch can be numbed in this state.
▸Burns up his emotions (and mana) to use this ability, normal emotions resume after 12 hours OOC. Can only be used once every 12 hours and lasts for a maximum of 3.
▸Theoretically if he ever went blind but his eyes remained intact this ability would still allow him to see.
▸Any creature with a beating heart possesses a specific heat signature his eyes will pick out. Even through physical boundaries such as a wall should he choose to focus on a wall long enough and peer through it.
▸Making physical boundaries transparent to his eyes is never an immediate thing and requires focus. Making out exquisite details through walls requires even more focus.
▸Can only see as far as his normal human eyes would allow.
▸Aura’s prevent him from looking at people nude but do not prevent him looking into people’s pockets (let's keep things PG13).
