Age of Creation (0 BW - Before Primal War)
No one fully knows how the world came to be, many races hold their own beliefs on how the world came forth. Although many believe it was because of the Architect and the Primals.
Before the world, there was only pure chaos. Yet from the chaos emerged the Architect, the creator. It is said the Architect forged a space within the chaos, bringing forth thousands of stars that lit up the darkness. Content, the Architect reached forth and took hold some of the stars, bringing them down and breathed life upon them. Thus came forth the first four Divine Primals: Eion of Time and Space, Irasil of the sun and day, Insomnia of the moon and night, and Mirrasil the purposeless. While Eion became apart of the very space they dwelled in, he formed the realm of Verafim for all Primals to come. Irafil and Insomnia brought forth light and darkness, Mirrasil held no purpose or power. Too weak to move, the Primal remained floating amongst space as a small ball of light that could barely shine. The Architect took the Primal into its hands and gave the Primal a new form: a molten core with Mirrasil in the middle, forming the very foundation of the world itself. Mirrasil became the Primal of the Mortal Realm and later the messenger between the Divine and the Fallen.
Irasil and Insomnia took on similar forms, becoming the sun and moon. While Irasil remained motionless, Insomnia circled around Mirrasil to ensure he was not alone and to guide him around Irasil. Eion gave Mirrasil an axis and allowed him to spin, so that one side of him was not submerged in full night and day. The Architect pressed some of its power into Mirrasil and from the shell of his core came four new Primals: Tritos of water and storms, Yraris of fire and droughts, Avar of air and skies, and Giarreoss of earth and nature. Yraris formed a layer of liquid fire to surround Mirrasil’s core, to protect the Primal from any harm, while Giarreos formed the very earth’s surface and Avar formed the skies and fresh air. Tritos formed the oceans and sources of water, allowing for the emergence of plants. The four kept forming the world, creating the mountains, the clouds, and the weather. Instead of joining the other Divines in Verafim, the four remained upon the mortal realm, taking the form of divine beasts. Thus becoming the first of the Fallen Primals. Many other Primals were soon made, each bringing their own aspect to the world. Many chose to stay within Verafim while a couple joined the main four Fallens upon Mirrasil.
Soon, the four Fallens created models of animals and races that remained lifeless and still. Yet the Architect gained an idea and brought forth three new Primals into existence through the aid of Eion: Easis who gave every living thing a soul, the vessal to hold their life and energy. Azgraz who breathed life and death into the souls of the models, creating the life and death cycle of all. Lastly Fatelias who decided the lifespan and destiny of all and saw what would come in the future. The models moved and the Primals watched with fascination but the Architect was not done. He gave the models knowledge, emotions, and willpower through the creation of Odrasil, Ideasi, and Orysus. The three Primals bestowed the ability to think, to feel, and to be in control of their own lives. To some, Odrasil gave them instinct while others gained enough intelligence to be able to create. Orysus gave the same beings the freedom to choose and make their own decisions, while Ideasi allowed to think and plan. Together, they brought forth the first of the mortal races, those capable of learning, thinking, and feeling. Satisfied, the Architect withdrew from the new world and entered Verafim where it fell into an eternal sleep.
The Fallen Massacre (1809 - 1900 BW)
For many years, the world thrived and grew. A golden age for all as there was little pure danger to the realm. The mortals lived peacefully with the other, showing no fear to the Primals, only respect and gratitude. The Primals aided the mortals at times, guiding them and teaching them of the world. Kingdoms and civilizations grew, the races grew and developed an understanding of the world around them. Harvests were plenty and trade fared well amongst the many kingdoms. There was still destruction and death through war and cruel deeds yet not on a dramatic scale, for the Primals mostly protected the mortals from such. It was a time of true peace.
Yet it changed when a Divine Primal of Guidance named Tahnions turned against the Fallen. The Primal descended down from the realm of Vesafim and attacked the Fallen and mortals, slaughtering them and devouring their souls for power. The Fallens attempted to stop the Divine yet only found themselves dead or badly injuried. The Fallens turned to Vesafim and pleaded for aid from the Divines, asking them to stop Tahnions. Yet they did not, either stating that the Fallens were facing punishment for willingly descending to the mortal realm or that Tahnions was innocent. This outraged the Fallens who grew bitter with rage and fury, causing them to become more destructive. Soon, the anger of the Fallens reached its limits and the Fallens began to lash out at any Divines who descended temporarily, especially Tahnions. Brutally attacked, the Divines returned an equal counterattack, bearing their weapons coated in Primal energy - the energy needed to cause complete damage or kill to a Primal. Thus beginning the Primal War
The Primal War (1900 - 2200 BW/0AW)
The Primal War lasted three hundred years in mortal times, bringing with it mass destruction and chaos. The world of Mirrasil became the battlefield, Fallens and Divines battled against each other in a mix of bloodlust and fury. Many Divines and Fallens joined the war out of rage for the Fallen Massacres, others joined for the thril of war, while some merely joined to cause pure mayhem. Some gifted mortals with aspects of their powers, asking them to aid them in the war. While others summoned their own creations to fight for them, not caring if they harmed mortals. Powerful storms of energy streaked across the skies, shattering many continents. One continent located far away even became shattered then reformed as an entirely new landmass. Once mighty kingdoms were shattered and destroyed, many mortals killed as the battle of the gods reigned on. Mortals struggled to live as disasters, flood, and death occurred, separating out into small tribes and villages to survive. The Primals who did not join the war often aided the mortals, doing all they can to protect them from the war.
Odrasil, the Divine Primal of Knowledge and Magic, and Easis, Divine Primal of Souls, pitted the mortals. They watched as the mortal were unable to try defend themselves against the war and the creations brought forth by such, many innocent lives dying away. Previously the mortals relied on ores and currents to use magic, yet they have long since ran out as the ores and currents were limited. Knowing what to do, the two Primals reached forth and gifted the mortals with two special gifts: Mana Cores from Odrasil, and Aura from Easis. With the Mana cores, the mortals could perform magic once again, without relying on the ores and currents. Some could control fire, others could temporarily manipulate the weather, and so forth. Although they could not fully kill a Primal, magic allowed the mortals to defend themselves. While Aura became a shield, protecting the mortals from Primals’ magical attacks for a short period of time, allowing mortals chances to live and get to safety, or fight to defend.
Yet, the two Primals limited magic, for out of fear that mortals may rise up and overthrow them. They and many other Primals did not desire for the mortals to cause an even greater war and thus magic was limited in terms of areas that could be used. The very boundries of time and space, the ability to manipulate life and death itself, and many powerful areas were sealed away from mortal hands. All out of fear for what the mortals could do with such power.

Eventually, Tahnions captured by other Divines and Fallens who sought to end the war, through true judgement being brought to the one who commence the massacre. Brought forth by the Divine Primal of Judgement, Puralis, the Divines and Fallens ceased their war and watched as Tahnions was judged. Memories of what Tahnions did were shown backed up that he was the one responsible. Thus he was punished. No mortal knows what became of Tahnions or how he was punished, but his trial brought the war to an end. The other Divine Primals announced the end of the Primal War and the Divines returned to Vesafim, while the Fallens returned to Mirrasil. Thus, began a new era and the years were reset so that mortals may begin anew. Yet what damage was already done was struggling to heal.
A New Dawn (0 - 1458AW / 3658 years since creation)
Although countless years have passed since the Primal War, the mortals never fully recovered. Kingdoms remained unbuilt and in ruins, remnants of old scattered throughout the realm. The descendants of those alive during the Primal War no longer recall what has happened, only known such as a great catastrophe. They live as small societies now, hidden on their own land as they live their own lives. Records and recollections of such long gone and barely anyone who fully remembers the events are still alive. Yet the Primals, Divine and Fallen, still remain, each performing their own duty and purpose. The war still engraved upon their minds.
Yet despite the darkness and destruction that came before, peace has returned but scars have remained upon the world of Mirrasil. You are a mortal of Mirrasil, a descendant of the mortals who witnessed the Primal War. Are you from another land, escaping from the madness there? Or are you from the series of islands known as Mirrasil? Regardless the days are standing ahead your destiny and journey upon this scarred world has just begun. What will your path be?
