Name:
Lycan
Other Names:
Werewolf
Physical Appearance:
The Werewolves, when in their human form, can be seen having different skin tones, ranging from pale white to dark brown. Their hair comes in five different colors, black, brown, orange, gray, and white, which can come in all shades. A Werewolf’s eye color can be either yellow, gray, white, or brown. White is the rarest color of the Werewolves. In their human form, they look much if not very close to that of a human, so it would be hard to tell if they are a werewolf or not.
In their Werewolf form, they are covered in fur which can come in colors such as black, brown, orange, gray or white. Their tails and ears will start to grow, and they gain sharp claws and sharp teeth, perfect for hunting in the forests. Their eyes are the same color as in their human form, except their eyes appear to be more wild and animalistic, while their eyes in human form are calmer. They also tend to wear warrior garments, ranging from armors to thick cloaks which conceals their faces. Much of the werewolves also carry weapons, ranging from long spears and swords to skinning daggers and thick shields. They weigh 180 lbs, standing at 5’12” on average.

Abilities:
The Werewolves are capable in transforming into a wolf-humanoid like form, and in this form, their hearing is enhanced, as well as their eyesight, meaning that they can see and hear a distance away. The Werewolves are also capable of smelling from a distance and they have night vision, which allows them to catch their prey in the darkest of nights, however, in human form they do not have night vision. The transformation will only occur at night under the moonlight, and is very, very, VERY painful for the Werewolf. Once they are under the moonlight, they will start to transform. Their skin will slowly start to grow more and more fur, covering most if not all their body. Their mouths will stretch out to become muzzles, gaining sharper teeth. Tails will start to grow, and their height will increase, at maximum 12 inches. The Werewolves' nails will also grow longer to become sharp claws. Werewolves can also grow to be very strong.
Behavior:
Werewolves hold multiple behaviors, depending on forms that is. Werewolves couldn’t seem more normal as their human form except maybe a bit prouder. Werewolf form however seems more animalistic and sometimes can have their judgement clouded by instinct, but they are not incapable of reasoning. They do, however, have an increased aggression due to their bloodlust, signs of this include eating more meat, growling, snarling in both forms. In werewolf form, they show different signs of how they feel, like showing their teeth when threatened, and in submission, they lower themselves into like a bow towards the person they are being loyal to but they are also very protective of their pack and their people, meaning they will do anything to protect them.
Lifespan:
Werewolves do not commonly live over 100 years, their ageing is slowed a bit more than the common human, so if they look 18 they could be 20-22. The werewolf form however seems to stay the same after reaching maturity. This fact helps to keep the Ruler of the species in control until he/she dies, it’d be irrational in their eyes to keep a weak leader around to rule them.
Society:
The Werewolves live in a society ruled by a king or a queen until they die. However, if the Ruler (AKA: the Alpha for the king, and Beta for the Queen) guides the race incorrectly, too weak to rule in their eyes, or if the Ruler becomes too overpowered, abusing the race, the Werewolves will not hesitate to remove them. However, they must do it within logic, if not they will become outcasts of their society. The alpha and/or beta must also follow the laws of their society instructed by their ancestors long ago. They are not allowed to break them or go around them, and the same goes for all Werewolves in their society. The Werewolves follows an ancient text known as the Code of Law, which was given to them by their ancestors.

Reproduction:
To have a child, the female Werewolves would often try for one in their own race or with the humans, most of the time with their own race. This does not always work, but sometimes it can. When a female Werewolf becomes pregnant, the male Werewolf would do everything in their power to ensure that both the mother and the unborn baby are safe, being very protective. This is very common for most of the Werewolves as it is their nature. When giving birth, the female must find a nice warm place to do so. The female must be in her human form, the male can choose any one of the two forms, but the baby will be born in their human form. The same goes for when the female Werewolf tries for a human. When the baby is an infant, the parents are very protective, meaning they will do whatever it takes to protect their child. When the child is an infant, they cannot hunt until they reach the age of 11 or 12, until then, the parents hunt for their food.
Origins:
The origins of the Werewolves can be dated all the way back to the near end of the Dark Ages. The people were only just starting to build villages and kingdoms at the time when the Werewolves came into being.
It all happened in a small village filled with humans high up in the cold mountains. A group of five hunters traveled up the mountains, searching for food to bring back to their village. They traveled through a dark forest not so far from their own village, hoping to find food. The hunters traveled through a huge snowstorm, however they could not go far. They started to freeze, and go hungry. They needed a place to rest. The hunters eventually came upon a small house, smoke coming from the chimney of the house. Desperate, the hunters slowly made their way to the house and walked in.
Inside the home, they found a large table full of all sorts of food. Hungry and tired, the hunters immediately rushed and began to eat the food. Then, an old woman appeared from the shadows with a smile, saying for them to keep eating and that she will feed them more food. The hunters, of course, kept eating the food the old woman had brought out, and ate until they were full. One of the hunters told the old lady that they must leave to find food for their village, but the old woman would not let them leave. Instead, she locked all the doors, and trapped the hunters inside the house. She was revealed as a witch, and that she wanted to use them so she could gain a flower which can help her complete her potion to make her immortal.
However, the hunters, after waiting for five days, attacked the witch and managed to escape, but the hunters were left injured as they traveled back to their village. But the witch was not dead. In her final moments she casted a curse upon the village, where the villagers will turn to a beast at night, and forever remain that way till the next morning, before the witch took her last breath.
Ever since the Werewolves have been building up their own society, hoping to make up from the curse that was forever placed upon them.

How to Become a Werewolf
Most werewolves are bitten to become one in the first place, however, some are naturally born, the curse can pass onto another individual within the bloodline, that is if both of their parents are werewolves themselves, otherwise to become a werewolf someone must be bitten. The curse can activate at any time, however, the individual must be at the age of fifteen, mostly because that’s when the curse activates and develops. The curse does not happen immediately however, there are a few symptoms to show they have been bitten. There are five symptoms to show they have been bitten by a werewolf. First, the area where they have been bitten starts to itch, second, they start to show a great amount of strength without their knowing, third, an increased hunger for meat, any meat, four, the victim starts to see in the dark, and five, they start to act aggressive towards anyone, even towards their loved ones. Once all the symptoms have shown, they start to transform into a werewolf on the night of the full moon. The first transformation is often known to be the most painful, to keep in mind. It is VERY important to note that it doesn’t always happen. There are times where it doesn’t affect anyone, this is due to that the curse isn’t always dominant, it all depends if the person has good heath and a good nervous system.
