“When death claims a weary soul, Easis shall come and sweep thou from Mirrasil’s hands. A gentle grasp to comfort the pain marked upon thy weakest point. To the Soul Stream thou shalt journey.
To the Resurrector Azgraz whom shall deem thy next adventure and thy destiny by if thou desire to live on; if thy shall return from whence you came or become reincarnated as a person of new.
The Resurrector Azgraz shall either weave thy old body or cleanse thy soul, allowing thou to once more live as thyself or another. His many hands working to remake what was lost in true perfection and state.
Yet be weary for being resurrected shall bring short effects to the body, for while the mind and body may not remember thy demise, scars shall remain and bring forth unknown fear.”

Overview
It is said that when a person dies, their soul temporarily transcend to the Soul Stream, a realm within Vesafim dominated by the two Divines: Easis the Soul Guide, and Azgraz the Resurrector. Easis guides the soul to the Soul Stream from the mortal realm, and it is here where the person should be resurrected or reincarnated by their will to live by Azgraz.
Reincarnation is when the person no longer has the will to live in their current life, mostly those who committed suicide, accepted their death, or from old age. When reincarnated, the soul has its memories of its previous life erased completely and is sent back to Mirrasil to be reborn as an entirely new person. No recollection of their old life, no memory of who they were before, bearing a new personality, appearance, race, and so forth.
Resurrection occurs when the soul still has enough will to keep living, even the smallest of will can prevent someone from being reincarnated. When resurrected, the body of the soul is remade to how it was before the death occurred and the memories of the death and being revived are erased. The soul and body is sent back to Mirrasil by Easis who will place the resurrected person away from where they died. From there, the resurrected will wake up and carry out as normal, unaware that they have died and were resurrected.
Out of Character
This is the resurrection system for Mirrasil. Like other servers, it's the same as being killed and brought back to life as the character that died so that you can keep roleplaying as them. However, being or getting killed is certainly something not to be considered normal, it is something to be feared and taken seriously both In-Character and Out of Character. Your character may be tough and powerful, afraid of nothing but be aware that it is human nature to be afraid of death, even the strongest of characters will a some point be afraid of dying or moving on. Death will be treated seriously on the server for a sense of realism and enjoyment for all. Players will be expected not to abuse this system, or will be faced with punishment for doing so.
Furthermore, this system will not serve as a mean to escape from roleplay you dislike or is not going in your favour. Suiciding your character will count as a Perma-kill, meaning your character has fully accepted to die and have no will to live. If you have your character commit suicide in order to escape from a situation such as this: ‘Billy slices his throat to escape from the guards’, etc, it will still be treated and considered as a Perma-Kill and you will have to create a new character that isn't identical to the one who died.
However, forced suicides through mind magic or many other means will allow for the dead character to be resurrected as their soul will still maintain a good amount of will. This will cannot be controlled by no one put the character (and user).
When your character dies and you choose to have them resurrected, your character will not remember fully how they died nor will you be sent to the same spawning area. Your character will be dropped/warped onto another discovered island or a different part of the island you was on, specifically somewhere no one else has explored yet. This is to encourage exploration as your character journeys their way back to the nearest town or village.
A unique aspect of this system are the death effects, the temporary side effects your characters suffers after being resurrected. When a character is brought back, they will not fully remember how they died but may suffer potential flashbacks of their death where they may recall being stabbed or having their arm bitten off, etc. This is because although the mind does not remember how you died, the soul and body do and will recall the death until they grow adjusted to what had happened.
If killed by another person, the killer and the weapon used to kill your character will be blurred in the flashback in order to prevent metagaming. Players are free to roleplay different death effects and can decide how long they last, although the worse your character was killed, the longer and more painful the effects may be.
You will NOT see who killed you or what exactly the weapon is they used on you - You will only recall that it was a sword, etc.
Here are some effects:
The one main rule here for these effects is that they must tie in with how your character died and must be temporary, lasting at least one OOC day minimum. The reason for these death effects is to spark fear and caution amongst over characters, especially those who witness the death of your character then hearing them explain these effects. This is to create proper fear of death that many roleplay servers fail to convey, as well as make death more enjoyable and provide development for the characters who die.
A player is free to decide if their character can be resurrected or not, meaning they can decide if their character will be permakilled upon being killed, or if they will be revived. However, emoting the death effects is compulsory but do not go too overboard that it becomes bad or 'edgy'. If a player is seen abusing resurrectionby metagaming, powergaming, or for memes, they will be warned and faced with potential banning.
Below are two examples of roleplaying out these effects.
Death by stab - Athanas would feel a strange pain emerging from her chest, her heart beating fast as she stares at the sword. In the back of her mind, she recalls the clashing of steel and a sharp edged sword swinging towards her. She turns her gaze away from the sword, hand grasped to her chest as her breathing grows deep.
Burned alive - Staring at the fire, Athanas stumbles back as searing pain flares up around her body, as if the very flames were devouring at her skin. She collapses to her knees and screams as she recalls roaring flames surrounding her, accompanied by mysterious screaming.

You will NOT see who killed you or what exactly the weapon is they used on you - You will only recall that it was a sword, etc.
Here are some effects:
- Flashbacks - your character may gain sudden flashbacks when looking, hearing, feeling, smelling, or tasting something that relates to their death. Such as recalling being stabbed somewhere when seeing a sword, or recalling seeing fire when you smell smoke. Maybe a quick flashback of seeing a sword coming towards you. The key thing is to keep these flashbacks reasonable and not treading into power gaming areas. Hearing brief voices are allowed and you may recognise the voice but names cannot be used if you was killed by a person. If killed by another person, the killer and the weapon used to kill your character will be blurred in the flashback in order to prevent metagaming. You will not recognise then as the one who killed you.
- Phantom pains - Phantom pains are feeling the same pain as being stabbed or crushed even though you are clearly in no danger or threat. Your character may feel pain from where he finishing blow was dealt, so it’s good to show this by having your character wince or cry out in pain, or rub the area of their body where the finishing blow was, or just mentioning they feel his strange pain. This also applies to being strangled, burned, drowned, and crushed. You may feel like you are being burned alive when there is no fire, temporarily feeling as though you cannot breath, etc. You will not literally be dying from these effects, rather just recalling the pain you felt.
- Emotions - A character may experience strange emotional outbursts. Such as temporarily being afraid of blades if they were killed by a blade, or afraid of water despite clearly enjoying such before dying. They will act odd or a little different when faced with what reminds the body of their death but the person himself will not know why they are feeling like this.
The one main rule here for these effects is that they must tie in with how your character died and must be temporary, lasting at least one OOC day minimum. The reason for these death effects is to spark fear and caution amongst over characters, especially those who witness the death of your character then hearing them explain these effects.
